How to vote in Nevada

You're a U.S. citizen? Then you vote like anyone else. Five questions, in the order you'll ask them. Every date links to the page I read it on.

Can I still register?

You can register or update on the day you vote, in person at a polling place. You must show a valid Nevada driver's license or Nevada ID card, and proof of where you live if the card does not show your current address.

Register on the state's own form. Not sure you are registered? Look yourself up on the state's own lookup.

Where the source gives a rule and not a day, I counted the day from it. In its words: “Mail-in registration deadline: Must be postmarked 28 days before Election Day” “In-person registration deadline: Available up to and including on Election Day”

Where the source gives a rule and not a day, I counted the day from it. In its words: “Ballots can also be dropped off at any official dropbox in your county up to the close of polls on Election Day.” “State law allows correctly post-marked mail ballots to be received by the county clerk until 5pm on the fourth day after the election per NRS 293.317.”

Where and when on 3 November?

The last word

The state's election office has it, not me. If anything here differs from Nevada Secretary of State, Elections, the state is right. I checked these pages on 12 October 2026, and rules can change after that.

I tell you how to vote. I never tell you who to vote for. See how the people who represent Nevada score on Iran, or see how Iranians in one district vote as one.
